For your touristic pleasures I recommend the Altenburg island zoo (also a perfect sample source – especially the Cröllwitzer turkey hen and the Höcker goose are always willing to deliver some very special sounds), for your culinary pleasures you should try out Cafe Domizil – great breakfast (which is also served in the early afternoon) and some very tasty in-house made tarts and cakes . Everything else to be happy you will get directly at the brewery-Tenne at the Elektroanschlag – next time in 2011.

An event which you definately SHOULD visit is the Elektroanschlag on March 26/27, 2010 in Altenburg / Germany – for the 11th time now – and this year with 13th Monkey!
Elektroanschlag is a small and fine industrial and noise festival in Altenburg, Thüringen (near Leipzig). Many projects and bands that will play Maschinenfest or other festivals later on will play Elektroanschlag first, so don’t miss it!

One day before the festival, on thursday, March 25, 2010, you can get in Elektroanschlag mood at the official warm-up party at the Villa Bar Altenburg. DJs: M., Jana Dark, PapaLoco, Thedi.

The 2 days-ticket costs 34 euros, 2 days-ticket & Festival CD costs 40 euros. 2 days-tickets 40 euros (without CD) and day-tickets will be available at the box-office.

You are also invited to join the warm-up-party on the 25th of march, organized in the cosy Villa Bar in Altenburg. The entrance is free.

As the Kanonenhaus in Altenburg burned down last Saturday the Elektroanschlag will now be held in 2 locations. This will lead to small changes – Thedi (GNM, 13th Monkey) will now dj on Saturday, the 04.04.09 (together with Sputnik and Paradroid) as there will be no after show party on Friday.

Here are more details taken of the EA-newsletter:

EA10 will be held in 2 locations – this was the best and only viable option!

FRIDAY – “MUSIC HALL”, Johannisgraben 4, 04600 Altenburg, near the Brüderkirche/Markt.
SATURDAY – “TENNE” der ALTENBURGER BREWERY, Brauereistrasse 20, 04600 Altenburg, near the Train Station/Hotel Astor.

We will post a route planner on our homepage, as well as several EA-Signs on both days throughout Altenburg.

Furthermore, there will be a small change in the line-up. S.K.E.T. will play Saturday after THIS MORN’ OMINA. Therefore, there will be 8 Acts Friday and 10 Acts Saturday. This is due to the fact that we are only permitted to play loudly until 3 A.M. at the Music Hall. We ask for your understanding.

Also, regarding the sale of merchandise, there will be restrictions on Friday, simply because the Music Hall is not very big.
